hela Sverige Stockholm Headhunting has been commissioned to find a Frontend/Fullstack Developer to Datawatch. As part of their tech team you will be a key player in taking their server to the next level whilst working in a creative environment with the latest technology in software.
About Datawatch
Since 1999, the Panopticon team (part of Datawatch) has worked with the largest banks, broker dealers, fund managers and exchanges, throughout New York, London, Chicago, Paris, Frankfurt, Sydney, and other global financial centers. They've also been embedded in compliance, risk, and trading systems trusted by an even larger group of buy and sell side customers.
Panopticon started out as the technology offshoot of an emerging markets retail brokerage. The team needed visibility into the trends and outliers in ever-increasing amounts of e-trading data and developed a suite of visual analytics tools to minimize the latency of informed decision making. Traders and managers using Panopticon can visualize, understand, develop insight, and act immediately, without waiting for end-of-day reports. The company provides visual anomaly detection for real time streaming, intraday, and historic time series data sets to identify problems or opportunities that are easily missed with traditional trader displays and reports.
The company develops different forms of software to enable the creation of structures known as semistructured data with the company tag line being Visual Data Discovery. The Swedish office works with the real time visualisation of this data and also builds the cloud based web solutions. Datawatch/Panopticons customers are mainly in the finance industry and can be found all over the world with the core being in USA and Great Britain, where they also have offices and a wide network of partners. About the role
You will be working in a development team who develops and designs the product from the planing stage all the way to the customer. The main focus of the role is Frontend development, in JavaScript and Angular, of the product where you will be working with visualizations, graphic and more. The Backend development is mainly in Java, different web technologies and distributing systems on the web.
Besides working close with the QA-team and product manager, your main projects will be developing the Panopticon server, making it even more powerful and also join the process of going from desktop views to web views. Being a big and international company, Panopticon offers you the opportunity to work abroad with their customers in London or New York during a period of time so that you can get a good insight in how their product is used.
Datawatch is looking for
Panopticon works agile in a Kanban-like form. As a developer at Panopticon you should have experience of frontend development and preferably even backend development. You have a genuine interest of programing and probably spend time even after work programming. You prefer to work in a organisation where the main focus is on human/computer-interaction where the goal is to make a multifaceted and complex product easy to understand and work with. You can master the english language.
