ESN is looking for bright, highly motivated individual with some supervisory or managerial experience to play a senior role in the team as Project Supervisor, reporting directly to the Project Manager, and acting as his/her second in command.
Candidates should have a proven track record of success in a pressured business environment, with evidence of creativity and initiative. S/he should be able to speak and write in English fluently and accurately. Familiarity with the EU institutions and EU policies would be an advantage.
European Service Network is a leading communication services provider, with 20 years' experience working for the EU institutions. We are in the process of launching a new project to operate the Europe Direct Contact Centre (EDCC) for DG Communication.
The Europe Direct Contact Centre offers a free, Europe-wide service to citizens and businesses via telephone, e-mail and web assistance ('chat') in all 23 official EU languages, allowing them to speak to 'Brussels' personally. Under the direction of the European Commission's Directorate General Communication, expert advisers provide information on any EU-related topic, tailored to meet concrete individual needs.
The new EDCC team, consisting of around 40 people, will be based in central Brussels. The common working language is English. Currently, the European Service Network is looking for a Project Supervisor
Job Description:
The responsibilities of the Europe Direct Contact Centre Project Supervisor are to
Assure the continuous basic performance of the EDCC operation in terms of availability, linguistic coverage and response times, in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) agreed with DG Communication;
Manage individual and team work schedules, including shift arrangements, planned holidays and unforeseen absences in order to minimise disruption and under-performance against SLAs;Coordinate and contribute actively to the recruitment, training and development of EDCC staff with a view to maintaining a stable, well-motivated and skilled team;
Ensure the proper implementation of appropriate quality assurance procedures, in line with the project's contractual obligation to DG Communication, and to report regularly to the Project Manager on quality performance and problems;
Proactively assist the Project Manager to prepare, develop and implement projects for development and improvement of the EDCC service;
Work constructively and flexibly with all members of the senior project team (consisting of Analyst, Training Coordinator, Documentalist and Information Officers)
