We are now looking for a financial controller for Group Finance at SEB headquarters in Solna Arenastaden.
About the position
You will work primarily with ensuring and developing compliant, accurate and
efficient accounting. Accounting and closing are performed by our Shared
Service Centre (SSC) in Vilnius and Riga, and close cooperation with the SSC
and other units within Group Finance and SEB is central in this role. You will
work proactively in the closing process, coordinate and follow up accounting
matters, as well as drive change within the accounting area. Monitoring the
correct, timely accounting and financial reporting (annual report) is also
part of the role.
At Market & Statutory Reporting (MSR), we work with accounting, financial and regulatory reporting globally. The department is responsible for reporting and controlling for the SEB Group. MSR also advises business and management with relevant statutory information. The MSR team in Sweden consists of approximately 30 employees.
Your profile
To succeed in your role with us, you have a strong interest in accounting. Being proactive and solution oriented helps you reach the development we 're striving to achieve. You need to be able to see the big picture yet also recognize the importance of details. Result orientation with strong personal drive will help you develop the work further. Being a supportive team player and a strong communicator is important since many stakeholders are involved.
We expect you to have a master 's degree or professional qualification in finance, accounting, banking or related fields. Strong accounting skills are necessary as are at least five years of experience in accounting and financial reporting. In addition, you need to be fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written.
