Position Summary: A challenging opportunity role for motivated and experienced finance manager to lead a team of financial business partners in support of key Business Operations in the ImmunoDiagnostics Division within ThermoFisher. This position offers the right candidate an influential seat at the table of a dynamic business and provides a substantial opportunity for career development and growth. The finance manager will partner closely with Vice President - Operations to provide financial expertise, analysis and support.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Managerial Leadership - Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a staff of two financial professionals. Develop the financial staff to become improvement leaders within their businesses. Liaise with other operations finance support personnel across ThermoFisher to ensure quality analytics for the global operations business leaders.
• Monthly Reporting - Drive and manage the monthly and quarterly IDD operations finance reporting process, including preparation and delivery of MBR's and QBR's to senior management. Facilitate robust and transparent analytical processes, and communicate risks and opportunities timely along with appropriate steps for corrective action.
• Financial Accountability - Responsible for driving divisional results related to all gross margin elements (Direct Material, Direct Labor and Overhead). Lead the divisions drive from a financial perspective to wage war on waste (Excess/Obsolete Inventory, Warranty, Scrap).
• Financial Compliance and Control Environment - Responsible for establishing and maintaining adequate financial processes and controls in all locations pertaining to GAAP and SOX compliance. Liaise with internal/external auditors to identify issues and corrective actions as necessary.
• Annual Operating Plan - Lead the development and support of operations financial AOP including productivity, sourcing and restructuring projects. Establish and rollout detailed assumptions around spending, headcount, and capital for all of IDD Operations.
• Monthly Forecasts -- Development and support of all gross margin assumptions for the division. Develop and deliver against spending estimates for the Direct Material, Direct Labor and Overhead spending.
• PPI/Productivity Analytics -- Partner with Global Operations team to drive actionable analytics around PPI, productivity and restructuring as a part of monthly standard work. Focus should be on identifying and recommending actions to optimize actual results and better forecast future results.
• Working Capital - Primary owner of divisional Inventory and DOS Performance, including metrics reviewed during monthly and quarterly business reviews with Corporate. Drive management of inventory to reduce DOS while minimizing E&O risks.
• Financial Modeling -- Create financial and business models to support business projects and initiatives (i.e., CAPEX, restructuring, product end of life ramp downs, etc.).
• Process Oversight and Improvement - Create and measure metrics to ensure operational effectiveness. Schedule and coordinate site operations reviews with division operations leaders. Drive continuous improvement and standardization in reporting within the division.
• Present significant business issues to senior management with proposed corrective actions.

Job Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant background. An ideal candidate will possess a strong aptitude in financial analysis, as well as a technical foundation in accounting.
• The successful candidate will be a well-rounded finance professional with a process-driven focus. He/she should have a minimum of 5-10 years of progressively responsible business experience. Experience in a multi-site, global manufacturing organization is desired.
• Strong knowledge of Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis), Cognos reporting tool (or equivalent), Powerpoint, and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is preferred.
