Paramount Home Entertainment Sweden is now looking for a Finance Controller for our Nordic operation. The position will be located at our head office in Gothenburg and will be reporting to Finance Director Nordic.
The Finance Controller is part of the finance department and will be responsible for the accounting, audits and the Overhead forecasting of the territory. The territory comprises of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. You are responsible for all accounting activities including budget, forecasting, analysis, decision support, financial statement preperation and review and compliance with internal controls. You support Finance Director in the financial business.
Responsibilities
• Lead month- quarter- and year-end financial closings including discussion of variances in financial results vs. prior periods and plan.
• Perform analysis on actual performance vs. budgeted targets and key business drivers.
• Prepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow), including statutory and tax requirements.
• Responsible for maintaining and improving the internal control system, including the Sarbanes Oxley requirements at territory level. Working internally and externally across the organisation to ensure succesful SOX audit on an annual basis.
• Responsible for the overhead budget and estimates.
• Lead audits and ensur necessary documentation such as annual reports, tax returns and declerations are prepared and filed for the four countries.
• Continually review finance processes to improve overall efficiency and accuracy of the finance function.
• Work closely with Finance Director and Head Office in LA on projects and reports.
Education and Experience Requirement
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
• Understanding of US GAAP and statutory accounts.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi task – ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and complex business
• Previous finance and accounting experience from an audit or accounting firm.
• Previous experience from annual reports and budgeting.
• IT literate: Advanced Excel.
• Good English skills both verbally and in writing.
