Under limited supervision, the Field Service Technician is responsible for rebuilds and refurbishments of machines and size changes either in-house or at client facilities as well as the installation of machines at client facilities. You will report to the Operations Manager and be based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Frequent domestic travel is a central part of the role, and you will attend an international training program at the start of your employment.
Main areas of responsibility
• Commissioning of high speed (1000 ppm) packaging machines with full functional check-out
• Troubleshooting (diagnoses and takes corrective action to repair complex mechanical systems)
• Rebuilding of mechanical assemblies including precision gears, bearings, seal and shafts
• Services complex pneumatic systems and adjust systems for proper pressure and flow
• Installation and precision set-up of size formats and groups
• Tunes machine operational recipes to efficiently run client's products
• Has full autonomy and can carry out acceptance test or protocols with little supervision.
• Provides production support and technical training at clients facility
• Report status to project manager on machine development and any risks/issues.
Associated areas of responsibility
• Basic ability to read and understand electrical schematics
• Basic electrical trouble shooting and sensor set-up
• Basic knowledge of software operation
Who are you?
• 3 to 6 years of experience in mechanical assembly or as field service technician
• Proficient with the use all hand tools and measuring devices
• Familiar with machine shop equipment. (e.g. milling machine, drill press)
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and pneumatic schematics
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English (Swedish is meritorious due to our Swedish customers)
