The Field Service Manager, is responsible for the daily management and delivery of the external customer experience, so as to drive customer satisfaction in line with our strategy of providing "State-of-the-art Delivery" , the impact of which is to ultimately drive the organization to achieve the annual operating plan and business growth targets year on year.

Essential Responsibilities:

Achievement of goals is via balancing the focus of activity between the daily operational tasks and of strong people development.In this position the individual will report directly to the Regional Service Manager for the Nordic territory and have responsibility of Service Engineers located in the Nordic region. Success of the position will be measured by the financial performance of the service business, coupled with a series of KPI's and an external customer net promoter score (NPS). Other responsibilities are:
• Accountable for undertaking positive leadership, provide coaching and personal development to direct reports in support of the business and the individuals career development.
• Responsible for building a "high performing team" of field service engineers and achieves this by leading and cultivating a culture that upholds the integrity and values of a GE business.
• Owns the business operational processes at a local level and the daily execution and delivery of the service operation by using the KPI's and NPS score. Take appropriate action to deliver metrics in line with the business goals.
• Focused upon driving business results by taking ownership of key customer relationships.
• Promotes a safe working environment and ensures compliance with all applicable EHS policies and procedures.
• Effectively leverages internal relationships to enhance the business performance and external customer experience.
• Regularly review the coverage of the service team in terms of both territory and capability (product) that supports the developing installed instrument base in line with sales plans/outcomes
• Manages the availability of stock effectively to meet KPI's and customer satisfaction in a controlled manner such that business needs with associated costs are balanced allowing contractual obligations to be delivered in the most cost effective fashion.

• Former experience from a similar role as well as a relevant formal education
• Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution based service process.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electro-mechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
• Experience in using systems used to support a field based service organization.
