• To carry out repairs, service and inspection of LSA and lifting equipment according to relevant legislation.
• To prepare for jobs and to ensure that spare parts are available and other requirements are met.
• To issue service reports in English from each job carried out, sometimes with pictures.
• To prepare the invoicing documentation (timesheets and expenses)
• To report to the Operations Manager and the customer when the job is completed and when/or problem occurs.
• To report to the Operations Manager any incidents, near misses, anomalies, deviations, discrepancies in the job preparation, job execution, documentation or communication.
What do you need to be successful in our company?
• Live in a reasonable distance from Landskrona, Sweden, where the workshop is located
• Vast practical background as a mechanical technician/engineer. Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical experience is also a merit. Focus laying on the mechanical.
• At least 5 years of work experience as a mechanic
• Experience in the marine field is also a merit, but not mandatory
• As the industry uses English as working language, you need to have a very good understanding of the English language, both oral and written.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
• Ability to work at heights and a good physique as heavy physical work is not rare
• Driving license B is required. Higher is a merit.
• Ability to work weekends, nights and to go on a job on short notice.
• Ability to work on your own, and in team with other Marinspectors
• Very good social skills for cooperating smoothly with the crew, and for representing our company when talking with Superintendents and Captains down to deckhands.

Marinspect Safety & Rigging AB, is a company specialized in inspection and servicing of life saving appliances onboard vessels in the merchant marine shipping industry, for example life boats, davits and winches. We also provide our customers with inspection and service of lifting appliances and equipment, like cranes, hoists and trolleys.
