Your Role
Your role is to verify function and reliability as well as validate customer perception on complete trucks and systems/components on trucks running in daily operation at hauliers around the world. Our costumer use their network of designated dealers at different markets to find the best testing environment for each test object. This operation is unique within Product Development in the respect of the close contact with dealers, drivers, hauliers and external workshops where assigned technicians are the prolonged arm. The group is continental and consists at the moment of 40 persons, located in Gothenburg, Lyon and Warwick.
Work description
As field test engineer you will be responsible for complete tests as well as for a number of trucks within a test, all depending on the size of the test. This means communication with a large network of various persons, both internally and externally. The main deliveries are Protus reports and Engineering reports where subjective feedback into the project is as important as more actual faults on the product. Assignments are normally performed with prototype material in complete vehicles which means responsibility for large economical values as well as the goodwill from final customer.
Qualifications
For this position, we are looking for you who have a background within automotive industry and knowledge about complete truck and customer usage. You are fluent in Swedish and English and have a bachelor or Master of Science and/or mechanic background.
It is meritorious if you have powertrain knowledge and project management experience.
