The Powertrain Control system section is responsible for the implementation and design of software and hardware for all driveline variants. The section is part of the Volvo Cars Powertrain, which is a part of the R&D. The group Control Modules transmission and AWD delivers control systems for transmission components which involves ensuring of requirements for software and hardware. We collaborate with internal and external multinational system suppliers.
We are now looking for a Fault tracer to our software team, Controls and Calibration for complete powertrain, responsible for the propulsion nodes for eg. engine transmission and gear shifter. You will be part of a team of engineers, with responsibility for the complete powertrain including general requirement, function design, electrical interfaces and integration. A major part of this position is the collaboration with a broad network of engineers including SW Component Owners to ensure a stable architecture fulfilling the needs of the organization related to fault tracing.
Main responsibilities
* Perform SW bench testing and provide test results
* Act as first-line of support at manufacturing plant during build phase
* Support the unit with necessary activities related to fault tracing
* Fault tracing on test bench, rig and vehicle
* Ability to travel with short notice
Required qualifications
* University degree or equivalent working experience
* Vehicle knowledge on a complete vehicle level
* Experience of INCA, CANanalyzer/CANoe, DSA, GGD-DHA. Other Volvo specific diagnostic tools are an asset.
* Experience of system testing along with analytical skills
* Fluent in English, spoken and written
* Driving license
* Experience of Elektra is meritorious
