SKF Factory Gothenburg employs close to 1,200 employees and we are currently hiring a suitable incumbent for the role of Factory Manager at SKF Factory Gothenburg.
A brief job description of the role is written below:
A. Key Purpose of the Job
Drive the journey of the factory towards world class manufacturing by ensuring operations according to standards of Manufacturing Excellence and maximize operational efficiency by developing short term and long term strategies to meet business objectives. Ensure the cultural transformation to accelerate the SKF strategy to drive success.
B. Profile of The Job Holder
• Bachelor's degree Mechanical/Electrical engineering
• 20 + years of work experience of which minimum 5 years should be at leadership position in manufacturing.
• Proven leadership competency in driving improvements, achieving results and leading teams.
• Committed orientation to the SKF Values with a strong market focus, result orientation and customer sensitivity
• Proven command on unit's financials and SKF business processes
• Ability to work with cross-cultural and cross-functional team
C. Key Responsibilities
• Ensure profitable growth of the factory and improve its competitiveness (Profit, Quality, Innovation, Speed and Sustainability) as well as performance in related KPI's (efficiency, productivity, quality, costs, broken promises, BOI, TVA etc.)
• Map, identify and drive new profitable business/ business area in respect of existing / new applications, products and product lines for customers along with Sales Team & Ensure timely follow up and delivery in line with customer expectations.
• Explore ways to improve organizational productivity and revenue from new business.
• Build customer relations, participate in negotiations as needed and foster efficient processes that support customer satisfaction
• Drive the implementation of the SKF Production System and drive a customer centric culture within the team.
• Ensure that all SKF requirements concerning Health & Safety, environmental and legal regulations are followed.
• Create and support team spirit, constructive work environment, innovation and ownership while leading the team for achieving strategic business targets as per World Class Manufacturing standards.
• To represent the factory and SKF in various professional and business forums
• Drive and implement the SKF Code of Conduct and SKF policies
• Drive change initiatives at factory level for smooth working, providing role clarity to team and creating synergy in team.

This position is based in Gothenburg and reports to SRB / SLB Manufacturing Director, Freddie Nielsen.
