The work is executed through high throughput screening of low molecular weight molecule libraries in innovative and relevant model systems, both in-vitro and in-vivo. The compounds are thereafter transferred to the medical industry for further development into candidate drugs.
Actar is now looking for an experienced Pharmaceutical chemist to join their team. As a pharmaceutical chemist you will screen and evaluate identified drug targets. Furthermore you will decide which ones will enter the next stage of screening and be responsible for the chemistry in the projects started for the interesting targets.
You have a PhD preferably in pharmaceutical chemistry or organic chemistry. An absolute requirement is that you have at least 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical chemistry within the industry and you have knowledge in patents. If you have worked in a small company this is considered an advantage as well as experience from work in oncology. Work abroad is also considered a merit.
