What you will do

At Powertrain engineering, a division within GTT you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. Who are you?
We believe you have a very structured and thorough way of working and a strong quality mindset. You enjoy working with complex matters while striving for order and simplification. It is vital to be able to build good relations and collaborate with colleagues globally. You will also need good negotiation skills and an ability to focus on the end product and our customers. We believe you have experience in leading or coordinating development work and are comfortable in leading forums and meetings. It's also important that you take your own initiative as well as seek support among colleagues to solve issues. We expect you to work together with the rest of the team to identify improvements and define how to shape the release process for the future.
Responsibilities & Qualifications likely required to be successful:
We are looking for a Product Structure Engineer to define Volvo Powertrain engineering, Driveline and E-mobility offering from a technical point of view.
• Detail and structure our set-ups for traceability, aftermarket and services, sales/order systems.
• Lead our efforts in terms of defining product options and variant structures.
• Provide knowledge and expertise on how to document Items and how to build up a correct Item to Variant Structure through day-to-day support as well as trainings.
• Participate in and represent product documentation in various committees and decision making that are related to product structure.
• Excellent knowledge of product documentation in KOLA and surrounding systems (or other PDM system) through previous experience from engineering, sales, manufacturing, or aftermarket.
• Basic knowledge of Volvo Group products, knowledge in overall powertrain and e-mobility system design and architecture is meritorious.
• Experience from different functions within Volvo Group is considered a merit.
• Fluent in English
