About the role:
The European Trading Services team reflects an effort to harmonize our collective businesses across our European markets, all vital to both Nasdaq and the global markets. Nasdaq has a proud history as a market operator and technology company in the Nordics, stretching back to the 19th century. Under the names OM, the first electronic derivatives exchange in the world and later OMX, the company grew into one of the world's leading market technology providers and the leading exchange operator in Northern Europe, before merging with Nasdaq in 2008. We are now further expanding our regional footprint to become a pan-European financial service provider, leveraging the success of the financially integrated, yet very diversified region in which our European heritage is founded.
As Executive Vice President of European Trading Services, you will spear-head driving our company's mission to drive both global modernization of markets and maintain our position as a leading European marketplace, by providing leading trading, technology, data, and analytics solutions to help businesses and investors succeed in the capital markets. You will lead our Nordic and Baltic markets, growing our product offerings within Nordic Equity and Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income, and Post-trade, in addition you will be Chairman of the Nordic Clearinghouse.
You will bring:
• You are an accomplished leader, encompassing between 15-20 years of formal leadership experience, with at least 10 years of executive experience.
• You have proven to be skillful in managing a professional service organization.
• You are well versed in communicating at C-level in an international context.
• You are qualified in solving solutions, facilitating progress, and meeting needs as well as high expectations from various stakeholders and clients.
• You have deep knowledge of the Exchange business in general and in Fixed Income, Clearing, Equities, and Derivatives products.
• You have experience working with Regulatory and Post-Trade solutions, as well as Risk expertise.
• Education Required: MBA, MSc or similar qualification.
