Are you our new Customer Dedicated Executive Chef, Menu Development?

Gate Gourmet is looking for you, an innovative chef that knows what it's like up in the air but still has both feet on the ground. You should have a sense for what people want. Not only being able to find new trends but maybe even getting them started.

We already have the wings, come and help us fly and create a little bit of magic. The journey has just begun.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The position will be a part of the Gate Gourmet "Customer dedicated core team" and have a direct reporting line to Executive Chef Scandinavia (ECS) Casper Vedel.

The top priorities to focus on would be to develop, build up and maintain menus and recipes for menu presentations and workshops with customers. Other activities related to this role would be to attend regular culinary meetings together with customers, to maintain a close relationship with them and to keep a high level of focus on product, quality, proactivity and execution.

Customer expectations are met according to Service Level Agreement in terms of presentation set-up, product innovation, product range, correctness of menu specifications and culinary expertise.
Planning and executing in-house meal tasting of customers product in cooperation with MD team, Quality Assurance (QA), Account Manager (AM) and production team.
Attending food fairs and workshops with new and current suppliers to maximize insight in trends and to keep a constant level of proactivity.
Working in close relation with the "Customer dedicated core team", Sales, Master Data and Menu Development team, maintaining BOM's and SPECS (Recipes and specifications) together with the Scandinavian sourcing managers.
Supporting the Executive Chef for Scandinavia in all matters concerning product, development and quality, on a Scandinavian level.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who has experience of working as a chef (apprenticeship letter) with a minimum of 5 years' experience as sous chef and/or executive chef at high end culinary restaurants in Scandinavia. Working experience within large kitchens or catering is a plus.

It is expected that you possess the understanding of high culinary quality, on all levels and can transfer this into the food that is developed and showed to the customer.
