Our product range includes tools for simplifying the work at TV stations, which means digitizing material, managing the media, video editing, transcoding between different media formats and archiving. The work is done on a world wide basis which means opportunities to travel and work abroad. We are now seeking a skilled System Specialist with interest in audio and video technology to join our creative team in Stockholm.
In this role you will be the major technical contact to our customers. This includes being part of the project team, setting up the system at customer site, configuring the system including integration with 3: rd party hardware and software, answering technical questions from the customer and be the main contact during customer UAT. You will have the opportunity to communicate and travel to customers world wide. You will also be working closely with our R&D team.
Skills required for this position:
• Master of Science in Computer Science or equivalent. Installation and maintenance of Unix systems and storage systems, primarily Linux.
• Software development in UNIX environment. Primarily automation and server software, mainly in Perl.
• Knowledge about technologies such as SQL, XML, SOAP, AJAX, distributed systems, etc.
• Relevant experience of professional system administration.
• Self motivated and responsive to customer requirements.
• Comfortable in technically complex environments.
• Good level of English, both writing and speaking.
Experience of AIX, IBM servers and storage systems, TSM, DB2 or Oracle are meriting. Additional languages are also meriting, as is knowledge about digital media.
