Epiroc Global Trade Compliance Team
We are currently looking for a high potential person with a can-do mentality to be part of the Epiroc Global Trade Compliance Team, organized within the Epiroc MDM program in Örebro.

As an Epiroc Export Control Officer you will be working in a global environment and be a key person in ensuring, improving and maintaining a high level of trade compliance for all of our international trade transactions.

The role is a cross divisional function that supports all of the 7 divisions within the Epiroc Group, in realizing all aspects of the Internal Trade Compliance program.

Position objectives of an Epiroc Export Control Officer
As an Export Control Officer you will work both strategically and operationally. You will be responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining the prerequisites of adequate governance and control for the business.

The purpose of this position is to manage the compliance relating to import/export laws for Epiroc - with an emphasis on Export Control and Sanction Laws. The objective of the role is to ensure adherence with current laws, monitor and mitigate risk exposure for the business' daily operations as well as improve operational efficiency.

Specific tasks and responsibilities

- Develop and maintain the Internal Compliance Program (ICP). Ensure that it is constantly up to date with all applicable sanctions and import/export control regulations.
- Ensure that the ICP is in use globally within the Epiroc Group.
- Act as the primary point of contact with authorities providing export permits to address any requests for audits and inspections.
- Provide guidance to the business organization on matters concerning import & export control requirements.
- Manage the integrity of trade data in Epiroc IT systems (i.e. tariff code, country of origin, ECCN) and support monitoring of the system in which they are maintained.
- Develop and drive solutions/strategies to issues faced by the businesses and the necessary controls around any change.
- Provide training and knowledge sharing to improve business knowledge and operational performance.
- Conduct internal audits in accordance with the ICP.

Formal knowledge and experience needed
You have a Bachelors or University degree in a related field (e.g., international trade, supply chain, logistics) and a diploma as a Certified Export Control Manager. Furthermore, you have at least 3 years of relevant experience of trade compliance and the general knowledge of internal trade, border control and customs laws. You have expertise in global Export/Import Control Regulations, Sanction Laws and Dual Use and ECCN determination/classification and the experience to drive projects in an international environment.

Both excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good knowledge in English is vital in this role. You need to be well organized and able to operate independently and also have the ability to be pedagogic.
