At Essity our ambition is to increase health and hygiene standards across the world. To do this we depend on motivated, competent and high-performing employees. We are now looking for an Environmental specialist to perform LCA (Life cycle assessment) and other environmental support in the Product Sustainability team within Corporate Sustainability.
The environmental specialist will be responsible to conduct Life cycle assessments (LCA) for hygiene and health products to support our innovation teams and brands. Sustainability assessments are well integrated in our innovation process. The work will include the collection and management of environmental data of raw materials and production, and the calculation of LCAs using Excel and special LCA software. All environmental specialist in the team have additional focus areas in the environmental field such as water, "waste to resource" or renewable materials.
The position is located in Gothenburg.

Main Tasks
Performance of life cycle assessments (LCA)
Calculate LCAs for hygiene and health products
Manage environmental information and data from suppliers and own production
Work closely with our international innovation teams and R&D to support the development of sustainable innovations and brand communication based on life cycle assessment
Support claims development based on environmental achievements
Present results and improvement areas to key stakeholders
Key Competencies
University degree or equivalent in sustainability, environment, chemical or mechanical engineering or similar
Broad and comprehensive understanding of lifecycle thinking and environmental interrelations
Expertise in circular economy and "waste to resource" initiatives are appreciated
Relevant working experience with LCA, including specialized LCA software such as GaBi.
Ability to interact with different functions in the company and with external stakeholders in an international environment
Fluent in English, both oral and written
Ability to present results to key stakeholders in an engaging way
