The Global Operations & Quality organization consists of plants in Sweden, China and the US with global functions supporting such as Supply Chain, Quality, Environment and Compliance, HR and Business control.
We are now looking for an Environmental Coordinator to join our team in the Vara plant. We will offer you great colleagues, a challenging mission and a good work environment. The primary mission as Environmental Coordinator is to ensure that the Vara plant performs in accordance with its environmental permits and the conditions connected to those. The Environmental Coordinator is responsible to support the Management Team in developing the environmental standard in the Vara plant. Within this role lies also the responsibility of participation and collaboration around the systematic work environment in the Vara plant.
You will report to the Manager Quality & Environment, Vara Plant.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
Ensure fulfillment of legal requirements and authority conditions
Report to authorities / AB Volvo
Drive development within the environmental area
Participate in internal and external networks, i.e. energy and waste networks
Perform and participate in external and internal audits as an environmental expert,
i.e. ISO 14001-2015
Participate in local Health & Safety networks
Be the local expert in chemicals handling (MOTIV)
Be the contact person to the Security Advisor Dangerous Goods

We see that you possess these qualifications:
University degree in Chemistry, Environmental care or equivalent
A minimum of 5 years' experience working with environmental issues
Experience in Project Management
Knowledge about Dangerous Goods
Certified as "Föreståndare brandfarlig vara"
Fluency in Swedish and English
Ability to work successfully in a local to global organization
You need to be analytical, proactive, structured and socially competent in order to succeed
