Electromobility is the main focus of today's automotive industry, and Polestar is at the centre of this development, introducing world-class electrified cars and innovative, customer- focussed services and offers.

We will launch a range of electric vehicles over next three years. Polestar 1 has been presented, and another two models, Polestar 2 and 3, have been announced and are already under development.

Polestar now have an exciting and challenging opportunity for somebody that can work within a global fast paced, start-up organisation. With a dependency on their parent organisations application portfolio, this role will effectively drive the implementation of solutions to support the business initiatives, with the majority of incidents bridging of the gap between their business colleagues and application owners within Volvo Car Group. You will report directly to the Head of IT Polestar, within a small but expanding organisation. With the success of the role being dependant on the integration and relationship with the relevant business teams and the Volvo delivery teams.

As the IT department matures and develops, this role will take the leadership and responsibility of their global enterprise landscape, supporting the organisation as they move from delivery to operational. A person who wants to be part of building up something new and who thrives in a changing environment would be an ideal new member to this IT team.

What you will do

• A critical interface point between the Polestar business and the Volvo Cars application owners and delivery team(s), to successfully deliver and support business change.
• Define and secure suitable resource models and ways of working to bridge the gaps between Polestar IT, their supplier's competency and the Polestar business to ensure the organisation has the capability to deliver the business goals.
• Work closely with all stakeholders to understand and document the tactical and strategic business requirements for change and operations.
• Develop the business capabilities, competency and processes to ensure suitable application knowledge exists within the business.
• Ensure solutions are delivered in accordance with internal IT governance guidelines and processes
• Ensure that Budget for Maintenance and Development is protected to deliver the ongoing change on operational state of the applications.

Skills and competencies suitable for the role

A proven strong track record of performing a similar role, with demonstrable skills managing and delivering technology enabled projects.

The successful candidate is likely to have the following skills:

• Leadership skills, with at least 5 years in a senior management role, delivering and supporting Enterprise Solutions.
• Project Management experience (at least 3 years)
• Good experience in successfully delivering within a digital environment and up-to date digital knowledge skill set
• Good technical background with a desire to continue learning
• Exceptional stakeholder and supplier management expertise.
• Knowledge of and experience of working within SCRUM/Agile delivery teams
• Educated to degree level or a recognized professional qualification
