hela Sverige Primary Job Purpose
To lead the HCL Design Team in developing the solutions required to meet HCL
contracted services. To implement and run architectural governance to ensure
the integrity of the HCL services are maintained during change programs i.e.
continue to deliver as contracted. To establish relationships with the client
architect community and other client senior stakeholders; become a trusted
advisor to the client on architecture matters.
Staff Responsibilities
Provide business context and contract requirement support to colleagues.
Provide training and coaching of individuals where necessary in developing
solutions and services.
Primary Accountabilities\Responsibilities
• Approval of Solution Architecture \ Solution Proposals for complete
infrastructure solutions that meet customer and application requirements.
Typically based on standard solutions spanning one or more of the
following areas: End User Computing, Networks and Communications,
Operations and Tooling and Infrastructure Services
• Working closely with HCL Transformation Directors, HCL Solution
Architects, HCL Technical Architects, client architects, client project
managers, HCL project managers, HCL application development, HCL
infrastructure support, suppliers and other/HCL domains as required.
• Ensure that infrastructure solutions make the most efficient use of
resources, technical and people, to provide best value to both the client
and HCL
• Provide comprehensive technical and procedural advice and guidance to
team members, other HCL domains and customers as required
• Attendance at design and other client forums representing HCL
• Help foster an environment that welcomes new ideas and supports the
development of these ideas into fully fledged proposals
• Identify innovative uses of technology that improve customer service
and/or create competitive advantage
• Adhere to client technology governance and project framework
• Help develop innovative uses of technology in conjunction with HCL
architects and client architects to improve service and cost effectiveness
• Be seen as an agent of change within the organisation. Engage with
support teams to create energy for change.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements that improve
customer service and/or create competitive advantage
• Help resolve issues affecting the infrastructure including performance,
processes and service issues.
• Help achieve best practice for client infrastructure to ensure
infrastructure, support deliverables and components are consistent with
agreed designs and address applicable risk and security considerations.
Competence / Knowledge / Skills required
• Demonstrate ability to identify, analyse and solve problems in a logical
and effective way, including root cause analysis and actions to solve the
problem
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including oral,
written, presentation and the ability to successfully influence others;
o Good verbal communication including clarifying scope,
requirements and deliverables
o Good written communication skills including evidence of concise
infrastructure design documentation
o Good stakeholder management skills. Able to effectively listen,
communicate, challenge and influence team members peer group,
suppliers and management
o Proven skills in dealing with suppliers (internal and external)
• Demonstrate ability to prioritise and manage effectively your own
workload and that of a medium sized team
• Positive approach to customer care
• Enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated with good time management
skills
• Evidences of tenacity and ability to work under pressure and meet tight
deadlines
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well to colleagues and
customers
• Good high level knowledge of IT infrastructures and architectures

existing infrastructure solutions

• Experience of commercial negotiations and the development of contract
schedules

of new technical solutions)

• Proven skills in recognising dependencies and project planning activities
• Knowledge of the Client Sector and any regulatory processes affecting

• Motivation and ability to gain knowledge of client business units, systems
and all HCL processes
• Successful demonstrable experience of leading design and
implementation of significant infrastructure transformation projects
involving multiple technical disciplines across multiple geographies
Deliverables
The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for the following deliverables in
addition to the governance activities:
• Transition and Transformation Phase
o Develop the High level overview of the architecture and services
being delivered by HCL to the client
o Creation and maintenance of the Architecture Decision log as it
relates to the HCL solutions and services, see appendix for more
details
• Steady State \ BAU Phase
o Implement and Chair the HCL Architecture Review Board to provide
internal solution governance for business change
o Implement and Chair the "Solutions and Service Innovation Steering
Board", see appendix for more details
o Production of 2- 4 innovative solution whitepapers per year
o Set-up and run 1 innovation day per year with the client and
selected HCL vendors\partners
