BorgWarner PowerDrive System develop and deploy innovative powertrain systems enabling the next generation of efficient, clean and intelligent drivetrain solutions. To accomplish this we're looking for talented, passionate engineers and leaders who bring fresh ideas with their unique knowledge and experience to develop elegant solutions to these complex engineering problems.
As leader of the Platform System and Controls team, you will be overseeing the development of our platform technologies. With your technical expertise you will be responsible for ensuring product deadlines, deliverables, and quality targets are achieved. Your leadership will advance the state of BorgWarner's art and enhancement of our controls and key technology solutions.
As a member of our leadership team, you will help to steer our organization forwards in the areas of processes, methodologies, tools and architectures, allowing us to bring innovative products to market, while preserving customer delivery efficiency and precision. Key Accountabilities
• Provide leadership to a cutting edge System and Controls team.
• Plan and manage resource allocation, headcount, budget and forecast.
• Advance the group's individual and collective capability. Coach, mentor and train staff to align with structured development objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance in support of internal projects.
• Lead and/or Contribute to organizational continuous improvement initiatives.
Education & Experience
• Minimum of Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Software Engineering or equivalent degree, Master's degree preferred.
• Proven track record leading teams developing complex system for production applications.
• Strong project planning and management throughout the complete software development life-cycle.
• Solid experience developing control systems; automotive and powertrain experience preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of vehicle dynamics preferred.
• Strong knowledge of software development processes (SPICE or CMMI based).
