To make all of this happen, you will be building up your own engineering team that will support IKEAs vision of reaching out to more of the many with democratic financing. The opportunity here is enormous, not only for IKEA but for you in terms of the challenges at scale that you will need to solve for a large successful iconic company.
WHAT WOULD WE ASK FROM YOU?
You know what it is to be a successful Engineering Manager having performed in this role previously. You've also been a hands-on engineer in your career, and you understand the most important core principles of this craft.
What type of leader are we looking for?

• Experience scaling up teams and growing engineering maturity to high standards.
• Knows how to lead well within a multi-location team and group.
• Able to achieve impactful results while dealing with complexity and constraints, navigating a large business with many stakeholders, goals, and priorities.
• You inspire others through a bias to action and experimentation.
• You are a team player in an agile setup.
• You are passionate about customers and champion their needs.
• You have experience mentoring and growing engineers around you.
• You listen as well as you speak.
• You've managed budgets.
• You know what it is to build, own, and operate services; you know how to fail well.
• Payment knowledge is a strong advantage, but not a deal-breaker.
