We are now looking for an Engineer, CFD & Multiphase flow modeling


Description

The role is within Powertrain & Chassis department. In this department five groups exist, which the Thermal Management and Aerodynamics is one. The group consist of three different sub groups; these are Aerodynamics & CFD, Thermal & HVAC Systems and Thermal Management.

This position would be within the aerodynamics team within the Aerodynamics & CFD group. The person in this role will be responsible for all multiphase flow analysis work in all stages of vehicle projects. You will identify opportunities and implement changes to improve products, processes and reduce costs.



The role involves:

- Simulation and method development responsibilities for computational fluid dynamics (CFD), multiphase flow.
- Manufacturing process simulations as dip in and dip out, E-coat and spray paint
- Simulation of vehicle contamination and wading.
- Snow packing simulations.
- Evaluate the feasibility of new proposals and products and support future product planning activities.
- Be responsible for planning and perform testing and validation activities.



We are looking for someone who has:

- Education of a M.Sc or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Engineering Chemistry or equivalent.
- Experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and multiphase flow.
- Experience in wind tunnel testing.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Experience in ANSYS Fluent, ANSA and Star-CCM+.
- Driver license B.
