What we offer
The group Aftertreatment Control Diesel within the section Engine Control and Calibration is part of Vehicle Propulsion. The group is responsible for application of exhaust aftertreatment control on Diesel engines. We develop and calibrate related software. The group's impact on legislated emissions is large and we take large responsibility for making our Diesel engines aligned with emission legislations. We work with a number of different aftertreatment technologies such as Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF), Lean NOx Traps (LNT) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). We do a large amount of our work in different engine test cells located in our laboratory but also in vehicles on site and during expeditions to find extreme climates and altitudes. We use advanced programs for modelling and data processing for best end results.

What you'll do
We look for a dedicated engineer who will strengthen our SCR controls team. You will be responsible for SCR related application on one of our 4 cylinder VED (Volvo Environmental Diesel) engines. You will work closely with experienced engineers in a team but have a clear area of responsibility. Your work will be divided between the office, test cell application, emission testing, and vehicle testing that also includes travels on expedition.
We believe you will excel if you have experience in powertrain controls and calibration and in diesel aftertreatment control.

You and your skills
We believe you have a technical university degree, M.Sc. or B.Sc. in engineering, preferably within chemical engineering, or long relevant experience of engine controls and calibration
Meritorious experience is knowledge in after treatment systems, specifically Diesel will be an asset
MATLAB/SIMULINK and INCA experience are meritorious as well as experience of statistical design of experiments. Competence within Engine Controls and Calibration are also interesting for this position.
You have a driver's license B

In order for you to fully enjoy this job, you have strong technical and analytical skills as well as being able to execute tests "hands-on". You plan, conduct, summarise and report your work in a structured and thorough manner
Other traits that we appreciate are creativity and ability of initiative as well as a holistic mindset. We do also look for someone who can travel from time to time.
