Tasks involved in fulfilling these responsibilities include:
• Analysing investee companies' ESG policies and approaches
• Engaging with companies' representatives including senior executives, board and stakeholders to encourage the observance of good practice and to ensure an understanding of GES' views on ESG
• Keeping up to date on policy developments in specific ESG topics and ensuring GES' principles and guidelines remain relevant
• Contributing to reports and engaging with relevant parties on GES' ESG policies and activities
• Working both with GES' client-facing team and with clients directly to ensure client reporting meets expectations
• Participate in collective engagement initiatives related to sector coverage and represent GES within the initiative.
• Work collaboratively with various parties to ensure relevance and ESG research to clients' investment
• Seek to leverage ESG research into engagement
• Participating in the external public debate on ESG, both formal and informal, public speaking as appropriate

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant track record of successfully working across teams to generate ESG research and successful engagement outcomes. Good business awareness and experience of corporate environmental issues -and in particular climate change - are also important, as are an understanding of a range of social and governance topics.

Other qualifications for the role include excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills. The main company language is English, hence fluency in English and one or more other languages is essential.
