We currently have the following job opening;
Energy CAE Engineer - Fuel economy/Performance
As a CAE engineer working with fuel economy and performance simulations you will evaluate and optimize the vehicle in different driving scenarios. To do this, the entire energy utilization in the vehicle needs to be understood in detail. Technologies like start-stop and hybridization in various levels are important to meet and exceed both customer expectations and legal requirements. Your task is to develop and optimize the vehicle content versus performance targets and cost and to communicate with both the attribute and design teams at CEVT. Part of the work will also involve assisting marketing with setting up the correct fleet assumptions and prerequisites for the future. You will work in a cross-functional simulation team looking also at fluid flow and thermodynamics which both plays an important role for fuel consumption and performance. The main tools that are used in the daily work will be CarMaker, Simulink and HEEDS.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Develop and maintain simulation models in Simulink or other relevant 1-D software
• Produce and analyse simulation results
• Constantly strive for increased performance and accuracy of the simulation models
• Be aware of technology advancements and future regulations within the area
• Cooperate with the team members that are located in our Chinese office in Hangzhou and Cixi
• Communicate results and design development proposals with attribute engineers and design engineers
• Communicate results and assumptions with marketing
• Contribute to develop Energy CAE-team efficiency
Profile and Background
• M.Sc. in Mechanical-, Theoretical Physics-, Electromechanical Engineering or similar
• Minimum 3 years of experience from similar work tasks within the automotive area
• Very good knowledge of Simulink and Modelica-based modelling
• Broad knowledge of 1D-simulations in conventional as well as in hybrid vehicles
• Broad technical interest
• Ability and interest to interact with people outside your own organization
• Have an openness and awareness of Asian, European and foreign cultures.
