Energy CAE Engineer - 1D-CFD/System Analyst

When working as a 1D-CFD/System analyst at CEVT, you will be involved in design and performance evaluations spanning over multiple fields of expertise (for example EPS, AC, exhaust system, ICE). Focus will be on the ability to, in a structured and developing manner, identify and deal with the broad variety of problems that can effect a system on a holistic level.

You will be part of a team that is continuously pushing the boundaries of what it does and how it is done. You will not only answer the questions we face today, but also build the foundations of what we can answer in the future.
We are looking for you who are able, and like, to communicate well, take initiative, and handle multiple projects at the same time. You should have an interest in learning new things and be a team-player, since much of the work consists of new ideas, discussion, and work with colleagues inside and outside the department.
Responsibilities and tasks
Develop and maintain simulation models in GT-Suite or other relevant 1D software
- Being able to identify, question and solve problems in a structured and methodical way
- On a component, system and multi-system level, be able to evaluate and validate both concept and performance for steady/transient solutions
- Constantly strive for increased performance and accuracy of the simulation models
- Be aware of technology advancements and future regulations within the area
- Communicate results and design development proposals with attribute engineers and design engineers
- Contribute to develop Energy CAE-team efficiency and team spirit
Requirements
- Sc. in mechanical, theoretical physics, electromechanical engineering or similar
- Good knowledge in theoretical and computational fluid mechanics
- Good knowledge of GT-Suite (GT-Cool, Gem3d, 3d-Cool etc.)
- Extra merit through knowledge of/in: - Coupled solutions between GT-Suite and other software
- ANSA, Space-Claim, Fluent, Star CCM etc.
- Minimum five years of experience of similar work tasks within the automotive area
- Broad knowledge of 1D-simulations in conventional as well as in hybrid vehicles
- Broad technical interest
- Ability and interest to interact with people inside/outside your own organization
- Excellent communication skills
- Cultural awareness; especially China - Sweden.
