We currently have the following job opening;
EMC Specialist
As an EMC specialist you will be involved in all projects where CEVT is involved. You will participate in the development of platform components all the way through the development from before the sourcing starts until the parts are finally approved for production.
You will be part of a highly skilled team with EMC, ELP and hardware experts. The team works in close cooperation with each other, with the systems team and the node owners. The job starts in securing that the correct requirements are applied to the parts followed by reviewing and approving the EMC test plans. The test results are reviewed and any deviations are managed. From case to case the overall result is evaluated in complete vehicle tests.
You will work in a global environment with close cooperation with our Chinese colleagues and our colleagues at Volvo Cars. You will also interact with suppliers from all over the world.
You will work in the Electrical Integration Module Team in the Electrical department.
The Electrical Integration Module Team is a cross functional team working with many aspects of the electronics development, ranging from hardware expertise to software configuration to but also contains planning and coordination functions.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Participate in the development of EMC requirements
• Apply or support the application of EMC requirements on components
• Review and approve EMC test plans
• Review and approve EMC test reports
• Drive EMC related issues where requirements aren't met
• Investigate and propose solutions to system related issues
• If needed plan and execute complete vehicle EMC tests
• Participate in the deviation process
Profile and Background
• University Degree in a relevant discipline, or minimum 10 years' experience within the EMC domain
• Experience from EMC work, preferably from the Automotive industry
• Experience from EMC standards is meriting
• Able to work in a structured way
• Quick and efficient in problem resolving
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Need to be willing to share your knowledge with other members of the team
• Cultural sensitivity, especially Asian - European culture
• Able to handle a quick pace of changes
• Able to travel from time to time
