Job description
CrossControl is in a very exciting growth phase and needs a driven employee with passion for technology and a couple of years of experience. Currently we are looking for an Embedded Software Developer with an interest in the Functional Safety topic to work within our product development team.
As an Embedded Software Developer, you enjoy working in team and you will primarily work with development of products that involves functional safety software and firmware running on microcontrollers and embedded computer systems.
We expect you to have good communication skills and are able to communicate directly with customers and collaborating with developers in our software teams.
At CrossControl we are moving fast, we are a fast follower on new trends and technologies, and therefore it is important that you are curious and willing to broaden and sharpen your skills in new areas.
Duties
Develop embedded software for products with functional safety requirements by participate in every stage of the development from requirement analysis, design and implementation, verification and certification.
Communicate with customers and other software teams.
The position is within our Product Development Team.
Competence and experience
The person we're looking for has:
• Academic degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
• Excellent programming skills in C++ and C.
• A Functional Safety mindset and interest in process and quality.
• Interest in Verification and Validation processes.
• Interest in Requirements processes.
• Experience from embedded systems development and programming of microcontrollers.
• Effective communication skills, with Swedish or Finnish as native level, and English as fluent working skills.
• Residence in Sweden or Finland.
• The position requires ability to work independently and in projects.
In addition, it is qualifying if you have working experience from:
• Linux system development, including bootloader, kernel, driver and library development
• Experience with Functional Safety
• Experience with Verification and Validation processes
• Experience with Requirements processes
• Experience of hydraulics, pneumatics and electric engine control.
• Qt/QML, IEC61131, C#, WPF, etc.
• Windows and Windows Embedded system, driver and library development
• Test driven development.
