Breas Medical AB develops manufactures and market devices for breathing assistance. We are now in a phase where a new generation devices will be developed.
One of our embedded software designers will leave and therefore we need to recruit a software design engineer to take part in developing the next generation of respiratory support devices.
As software designer for the embedded part of software design you will work with development of respiratory support devices. The position involves responsibility to plan your own job duties, but also take part in projects where you will work with your colleagues in the software group. The position as software design engineer requires you to work in C maintaining our current product line but as we are now planning for our new platform you will take part in developing and implementing a real-time system in our next product. The position as software design engineer at Breas also includes support both internally and externally. During developing and maintenance of code, documentation of the work and changes are important and is also a very important part of the job duties here at Breas Medical.
You will work in the software group which consists of 7 persons covering areas as PCSW development for our post analysis tools, test system design working in LabView and the embedded design. The engineering department consists of 24 persons covering all areas such as mechanical, electronics, embedded software, V&V and manuals.
AS a Embedded software designer you duties are:
Developing code for our respiratory support devices.
Determine operational feasibility by evaluating user requirement specifications and define problem and propose a solution for the stated problems.
Develop technical documentation for the developed solution.
Document solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
You have an M Sc degree or similar university degree in software and at least 5-10 years? experience in software programming. You are very knowledgeable in software testing and GUI design. You have a very good knowledge in C, C++. It is also a merit if you have knowledge and insight in medical systems and the regulatory requirements. You have a good knowledge of spoken and written English.
As a person you are good in pursuing your ideas and to work independently. You are structured and have a drive to fulfill the requirements set on your job position. You are a person that are easy going and have great commitment in your assigned tasks and job duties. Since development is mainly project driven you are a person that likes to work in groups in projects that requires you to cooperate with colleagues.
