Our growing team is a tight, cross functional group that explores and experiments together to bring the most innovative and flexible digital drumming products to our global customer base.
Your responsibility will be in the research and development of new Freedrum products and the firmware/software ecosystem that surrounds them. You will be exploring the limits of what is possible when connected sensors and software are used to create music and track users' educational progression. Your work will cycle from early exploration through to final product roll out.
The nature of the job requires a creative and competent engineer, someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and dive into engineering details, as well as work in a small cross functional team to create the best possible product for our users.
It is critical that you are able to join the team at our office in Malmö and have unrestricted work rights to work in Sweden.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Masters or Bachelors degree in Engineering and a minimum 3 years of work experience in embedded engineering.
Experience in wired & wireless communications protocols (USB, TCP/IP, Bluetooth) in embedded real-time systems
Experience with microcontrollers, especially ARM based, and peripherals including I2C/SMBus, serial port, SPI, USB, ADC converters and IMU sensors
Hardware design / Electrical Component Design
Additional experience we strongly value:
Experience with Sensor Fusion and Tracking
Experience with MIDI protocol and devices
Personal Qualities and Experience:
Excellent creativity, communication, presentation, troubleshooting, time management, and analytical skills are required.
