DRIVING THE SHIFT

Scania is a global leader in transport solutions and is currently undergoing a transformation from being a provider of trucks, buses, and engines to becoming a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

We are at the forefront of the biggest change in the automotive industry - replacing the driver. At Scania, we develop autonomous transport systems where vehicles no longer require a human driver.

We are now seeking an Embedded C Developer who wants to be part of shaping the future of the transport industry. Your work will focus on the Scania Autonomous Gateway System, which acts as a gateway between the autonomous robot (replacing the driver) and the rest of the base vehicle. In this role, you will be involved in the development of systems and functions that control the vehicle based on commands from the robot, rather than relying on a human driver as in conventional vehicles.

Responsibilities

* Define, systematize, and document our solution for the Scania Autonomous Gateway System.
* Collaborate with colleagues to define capabilities and system requirements based on our rapid development cycles, working closely with system architects and testers.
* Analyze different system levels using data and participate in vehicle tests.
* Work closely with product management, developers, and system testers to iterate quickly and improve our autonomous products.

We offer

* An excellent opportunity to work as an Embedded C Developer in the field of autonomous vehicles and embedded systems.
* Contribute to the development of a global product within a global organization.
* Be part of a growing team that collaborates to solve problems and find the best solutions.
* Opportunities to influence our team's ways of working.
* A strong company culture based on respect and team spirit.
* Career development opportunities within research and development, cross-functional teams, or as part of TRATON.

Qualifications and desired skills

To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe that you possess a subset of the qualifications and desired skills listed below.

* Experience: Previous work in real-time safety-critical automotive embedded systems development
* Knowledge: Proficiency in embedded C, an understanding of automotive safety standards (ISO 26262) is a plus.
* Interest: A genuine passion for understanding and solving complex control system challenges in the automotive domain.
* Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Leadership Abilities: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Analytic thinking and a passion for driving innovation.
* Vehicle Domain:Understanding of dynamic vehicle control (for example propulsion, braking, and steering)
* Understanding of autonomous vehicle technologies, including perception, control, and localization is a plus.
* Experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) is a plus.

If you are a curious and dedicated individual who wants to shape the future of transport solutions, we look forward to receiving your application! We can't wait to hear from you!
