Position Summary:
As Electrical Design Engineer, you fill an important role in developing and sustaining the Safeaero product range. You work closely with the rest of the engineering team as well as production and procurement.You will have the overall responsibility for the electrical design of our vehicles.
Position Responsibilities:
• Work includes modification engineering and new design
• Work includes designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications and solutions to help improve safety, reliability and the product
• Work includes brainstorming, analyzing, specifications, calculations, product development, validation, documentation, drawings and BOMs
• Work includes supplier, manufacturing and customer documentation of the new/modified design
• The position includes a great deal of interaction with in-house and external engineers both in Sweden, at other locations in the Textron GSE network as well as with suppliers
• You are responsible to lead and follow up on given tasks and projects, with reports to the Engineering Manager
• Maintain and support systems and product data base
• Support and develop a new master control system (plc) for the Safeaero product range
• Support and maintain the existing electrical design on the Safeaero product range
• Set a good example to colleagues by completing all necessary company documentation, punctually and in accordance with any guidelines or schedules issued (including time sheets, staff expenses, claims, site reports, etc.)
• Attend all training courses and meetings as required by Textron GSE
• Provide support and co-operation to the management and colleagues, and be prepared and willing to help and contribute to the success of the company at all times
• Observe and adhere to company health and safety guidelines and contribute to a health and safety working environment

Essential Skills Education and Experience:
• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in designing and documenting electrical systems in AutoDesk or similar CAD
• Computer literate and good knowledge of MS Office
• Fluent in English and Swedish
• Flexible approach to work, and be prepared to work extra hours as and when required
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Commercial awareness
Desirable Skills Education and Experience:
• Experience within electrical control system design acc. IEC 61131
• Knowledge of C++ and/or Codesys programming
• Experience working in an international environment
• Experience within the GSE industry (technical environment)
• Experience within the automotive industry or other electromechanical industry
• Project management experience
