Plejd is a rapidly growing Swedish tech company that develops products and services for smart lighting and home automation. We are dedicated to simplifying the electrician's everyday life by creating products and services that harness new technology in the right way. Today, we are a leading player in smart lighting control in Sweden.
We are an in-house full-stack company with a diverse mix of individuals in production, automation, electronics, mechanics, embedded systems, app development, and cloud/backend development.
In addition, we have a fully equipped prototype workshop, a complete electronics lab, and our own factory for mass production of electronics, all under one roof. We believe that this kind of broad integration provides our colleagues with a better ability to comprehend the entire value chain and fosters efficient development cycles.
The Position
At Plejd, the automation team doesn't just ensure that products can be manufactured; they also make sure that everything produced works exactly as intended. Test stations are a significant part of our production, and through them, we collect all possible data to continuously ensure the quality of our products. This is where you come in!
You will need to decide what hardware should be tested, how things relate to, for example, firmware, how specific product features should be ensured, and how these tests should be implemented using equipment and instruments in connection with production. The role is diverse, and you will work closely with many other teams to follow the product's development cycle.
Who Are You?
To make this role a good fit, we believe that when you see a device, you instinctively want to take it apart to understand how it functions and identify the MCU inside it.
You have likely completed some form of engineering education at a university or from YH high school.
Ideally, you are a code-agnostic individual who appreciates the beauty of all languages and is willing to explore new ones when the opportunity arises. However, you can write C/C++ code fluently.
It is also beneficial if you have basic knowledge of an ECAD program such as Altium or KiCad.
We use both Swedish and English on a daily basis, so it is also a requirement that you are fluent in both languages, both spoken and written.
