As electrical engineer you will get the opportunity to work with advanced machines and a wide variety of task together with colleagues to find the right balance between different product properties.
You will, mostly work in project format with new development projects, product maintenance, base development and customer orders. You will have close contact with other departments in Örebro, for example service, purchasing and marketing. Contacts with customers and suppliers around the world is also a part of your work
The work involves responsibility to develop, implement and adapt our electrical systems in terms of hardware, system architecture and functionality to fulfil future requirements regarding e.g. performance, availability and safety. You will specify and develop components together with sub suppliers and verify the performance on the final product.
Skills & Knowledge
• Academic education and/or experience within electric- or/and control systems
• General understanding of mobile equipment and capabilities
• English both written and spoken and preferable also Swedish
• Proficient in MS-based applications such as Word and Excel
The following skills are meritorious:
• Knowledge of mobile electrical and control systems, system architectures and sensors.
• Knowledge of battery systems or low voltage systems
• Knowledge in functional and algorithm development or programming
• Experience of Autocad and/or 3D-cad design tools and PLM systems is meritorious

We are looking for driven and motivated Electrical Engineers to join our teams and work in the Research and Development (R&D) department within Atlas Copco Underground Rock Excavation (URE).
A change in the construction of underground machines has started. Since 1873, Atlas Copco has developed innovative products and solutions for mining and tunneling industries. The development towards electrification and automation creates new challenges and new opportunities on how to build the machines and what characteristics we can provide the machines with to gain better performance. We are now looking for the right people to join us on this exciting journey!
Atlas Copco URE has a large program of machines used in tunneling and underground mining operation. The machines are operative all around the world, normally in very harsh environments with high demands on safety, reliability and productivity.
