hela Sverige The department is part of Manufacturing Engineering , ME FT&E Body, in Olofström where the mission is to implement automotive projects, ongoing changes and technology changes in production with the aim of achieving an interference-free surrender and a satisfied customer. We develop (define, prepare), implement, introduce and maintain quality assured, efficient and standardised production systems according to established objectives. We do also ensure process controlled product development with focus on efficiency and quality assured production with robust design/process/technology solutions as well as share best practices by working together with other units within Volvo Cars
The Facility, Tooling & Equipment Body VCBC group consists of 13 employees who perform the following in different areas of technology such as gluing, robot, hemming, PLC-Hardware, PLC-Software & PLC-Safety etc.
The mission for this group is to:
* Prepare/develop methods and techniques for production equipment.
* Lead and carry out work in projects cross-functional to meet the requirements of for example
lead times, investment costs, staffing, productivity, safety/health/environment, quality, ergonomics etc
We perform tests within the joining methods used within Volvo Cars to meet Volvo Cars requirements for product and process ability and administer and update the standards and technical specifications (TS) that are the basis for purchasing assembly equipment.
About the position and responsibilities:
* Ensure that strategies, standards and specifications are met in New Car project and Running changes
* Reporting and anchoring in current organisational structures and to clients
* Within the subproject framework, take the necessary decisions to reach agreed objectives
* Within the area of responsibility supporting VCM (Volvo Cars Manufacturing) with its specialist expertise with the power to make decisions on technical matters
* Report status and deviations in current systems/tools and ensure that there are action plans to achieve planned targets
* Responsible for own competence development
* Responsible to lead and perform safety take over on new and existing sub assemblies.
Required:
We are looking for a candidate with
* Broad technical training, higher education or equivalent work experience as Electrical Engineer
* Deep technical knowledge within technical competence and practical experience in PLC software and hardware
* Skills in machine safety
* Good general IT skills
* Be well acquainted with the company's operations, procedures, administrative systems, standards and specifications
* Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing
You prefer teamwork, have business sense, drive independently, a holistic view and ability to take own initiatives.
Meritorious:
* Experience from work within assembly process with safety
* Worked in SIEMENS S7
