We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a team of awesome girls and guys that handles the Charging concepts within Electromobility.
What do we do?
Volvo Group Trucks Technology - Powertrain Engineering is the global, strategic center for powertrain development within the Volvo Group. Electromobility is one of the main development areas within Volvo Group and was created to be in the forefront of environmental friendly transport solutions for a more sustainable tomorrow.
The Electrical Distribution and Charging Systems section is dedicated to provide world class solutions for transferring energy from the grid to the vehicle, delivering end customer value for Volvo business units such as buses, trucks, construction equipment and marine applications. What will you do?
You will move the world towards a better future! Working within the Electromobility department, you will get all benefits from a large and international company but also the benefits you find in a creative startup company. By that we mean that you will have close collaboration with colleagues from different parts of the entity, from sales and purchasing to workshops, labs and software development located close to you. Combine that with having the total ownership of our solutions that span from ideas/concept to industrialization, aftermarket and maintenance!
We are working in a cross-functional way from hardware concept and design to final verification and implementation in production. In this role you will be responsible for current protection components such as fuses. You will also work with the system aspect of our Electromobiltiy solutions. You will function within a broad network both within and outside product development. You will work with customers from all around the world, and will give them feedback and make sure that they get the technical support needed for the product they have purchased.

Who are you?
We believe that you are a team player who loves to develop electrical powertrain components in a customer oriented context. We believe that you have:
Master of Science in Electrical engineering or equivalent
Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
Preferably experience from high power frequency power electronics
Knowledge of power electronics and hands on experience from electrical measurements.
Experience in relevant engineering profession
Ideally, you have experience from product development in general. It is good, but not essential, if you have experience from the automotive industry. You like working cross-functional and aim to grow with more responsibility.
