Electrical Engineer
Ballast water treatment is one of the big growth potentials in the maritime industry, driven by environmental legislation. PureBallast - a system developed by Alfa Laval and Wallenius Water - prevents the spread of invasive organisms between the oceans. We have a market leading position since the launch in 2006, and we sell systems to ship owners and shipyards worldwide. We are in a very fast-paced market with rapid growth and will extend our team in an Electrical Engineer.
So, what are you going to do today?
About the job
As Electrical Design Engineer in the PureBallast R&D team you will
* Perform R&D activities related to PureBallast system, components and subcomponents
* Execute electrical design, drawings and technical documentation needed for production
* Subject matter expert for explosion proof design and installation solutions on vessels that meet ATEX/IECEx requirements
* Perform test, verification and design reviews
* Technical support for electrical design
* Stay up to date with new technologies, design methods and tools
Location is Tumba
To further succeed in this role, you are
* Creative, self-driven and outgoing
* Proactive with a high motivation to solve problems
* A good communicator and fluent in English both verbally and written
* Used to work independently but get your energy from being a part of a team that helps and care for each other
Qualifications & experience:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering with three years of knowledge and experience from electrical design
* Experience of electrical design in maritime or industrial environment is valued
* Experience of explosion proof design is valued
* Experience in EPLAN for electrical design drawings or similar is valued
