The arena
The purpose of Drug Safety & Metabolism is to help the iMED's design safe and druggable molecules through the deployment of leading in silico, in vitro and in vivo sciences. We will increase success in the pipeline by reducing attrition, particularly in the Preclinical phase. We will contribute to the return to growth by supporting late stage project development and life cycle management of products.
The role
The Functional Project Manager within Capacity Management in Drug Safety & Metabolism support the function and projects, working directly with the Project Toxicologists, the DMPK Project Leaders, the DSM Study Monitors and the IMED and GMD Global Project Managers.
Working within the DSM Capacity Management the role holder ensures that our Drug Project Plans continually improve and develop, resulting in the creation within DSM of high quality data. The role holder also interact with our contract research organisations with the planning of scheduling DSM studies according to timelines from the projects.
As much of the work involves the use of professional project management software such as OPAL, Excel, Elixir software and advanced reporting tools including Business Objects, AZ accounting tools and Spotfire, IT and numerical skills are essential. However an understanding of the drug development process and project team working are equally important.
