What you will be a part of
Networks and Public Safety is a unit within Saab that develops business critical management system in a global market. Our systems are used by ambulance, police, emergency services, airports, prisons, and safe transports with a focus on performance, reliability and configurability. We work closely with our customers and are driven by a strong customer and user focus. We have an established way of working with Scrum and agile methods since many years, and see a great importance in progressing in our various roles as well as working with the latest technology.

We are now looking for a driven 1st line manager to join our growing team in Karlstad!
Your role
You will manage a team consisting of system developers, product owners and support engineers. Currently this is a team of 10 people, but due to great interest in our products we foresee a substantial growth. Your responsibilities will include recruitment and competence development, as well as work environment responsibility amongst other things. You will work closely with other managers in the department towards reaching the common goals. A part of your responsibility will also be to act as office manager for the office in Karlstad.
Today the developers work in small close-knit teams composed of different skills to ensure the best possible prerequisites for them to perform as a team. In the projects we start, several teams can be working together to develop and assure the quality of the overall solution.
As 1st line manager you are responsible for developing and ensuring the agile approach and professional development of your staff. You are also responsible for maintaining a good working environment with job satisfaction in focus. In your role you will be involved in business discussions with product owners and sales team regarding the future development of our products, and therefore need to be business minded.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in leadership and in a good way can create conditions for employees to develop, perform and feel good. We believe that you have experience managing people as well as experience from the software industry. You also have experience leading agile teams, as well as developing agile methods.
You are a change leader who has the courage and willingness to drive the business forward. You are business-like and focused on the customer. For you to enjoy working with us we believe that you have the ability to provide energy and create commitment within the group, where cooperation and communication are key words.
As we work in an international environment it is important that you have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
The position entails working with classified information. Therefore, you are required to participate in and pass a security test conducted by authority.
