In this role, you will be working with developing our simulation tool and simplify the simulation process in order to improve accessibility to more users and build key competence to maximize the number of simulation projects we can deliver.
Who are we?
The digital team at FlexLink work with finding new products and services in the digital world. We are a tight team with a lot of new initiatives going on. As our Discrete Event Simulation Expert you will play an important role in the team being part of forming the future for our simulation offer. Besides development of the simulation capabilities in the tool you will also support our sales unit with trainings in simulation and with simulation support for complex projects.
Main responsibilities
Create and maintain the product range in the Design Tool
Support sales on strategical projects
Develop and train a network of super users in our competence centers (Germany, Italy) and in the USA.
Benchmark 3rd party simulation software in order to develop the tool further with additional capabilities
Who are you?
We are looking for an expert in DE simulation design and execution on Visual Component platform. Experience in the Visual Components platform is a plus, but other relevant experience (Plant Sim, Automod, FlexSim etc.) are welcome. To fit in this role, we think you are a person with a "can do" attitude and like to solve complex problems. Building trust and relationship in the DE simulation projects will be part of the work so good communication skills is required.
Education & Experience
Master of Science in Engineering
5+ years of experience working with engineering and simulation tools
Engineering background within Automation, production development or logistics
Understanding the complexity of a DE simulation model
Relevant experience in our industry, focusing on DE flow simulation
Business concepts and processes
Can take initiative and drive projects to result
