We currently have the following job opening;
Director Project Hybrids
The function area Powertrain Engineering is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. In the area, the newly formed unit Advanced Engineering & Concepts is the responsible project function for the development of new technology systems and concepts. These technologies are the main future, global powertrain solutions for the Geely group.
To strengthen our team for future challenges and projects, we are now looking for a Director Project Hybrids.
Role Summary
As Director Project Hybrids - Powertrain Engineering Advanced Engineering & Concepts you lead the work from start of project within advanced engineering up until passing the concept decision gate in the concept phase. In your daily work, you lead and work closely with your team and with the line organizational functions in the area of Powertrain Engineering. In addition, you also work closely with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality and Aftermarket securing a complete delivery at concept decision. Together, you are developing the next generation(s) of powertrain technology.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Obtain and/or define and communicate relevant project targets
- Plan and maintain the overall project plan
- Secure the resources within each relevant line organization
- Be proactive on driving necessary decisions
- Lead the project towards set targets in terms of quality, delivery, cost and features
- Create enablers towards a positive and successful project execution within the organization
- Represent and report the project inside and outside the Powertrain Engineering area
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor or Master Degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- More than 5 years of relevant experience of project management
- Fundamental understanding of the development process within the automotive industry
- Driven problem solver who takes initiatives and responds to changing priorities
- Team player but with the ability to work independently
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture
- Ability to travel
- Driver's license B
