WHAT WILL YOU DO?
New Business is now looking for a Director with responsibility for our products and solutions management function in Lund. We are innovating our markets with network audio, access control and hosted services and are looking for a new colleague to drive our ongoing transition from products to solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to make a change. You will lead and develop a team of Global Product Managers, Product Specialists and Global Sales Engineers. Working with key internal stakeholders such as R&D, Marketing, Operations, Global Sales as well as our sales regions is essential to ensure that New Business offerings are effectively developed and brought to market. You will work with our Portfolio Manager and our acquired companies such as 2N in Prague to ensure that our offerings are aligned and complements each other. Visiting and working with external partners and customers is also expected.
Travelling will be required for up to 30 days a year.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you are a positive and enthusiastic leader, with a business and end-user oriented mindset, who can create a stimulating and creative working environment. You have a genuine interest and talent in leading and developing people. You find it easy to interact with individuals as well as organizations and can negotiate when needed. You combine the skill of listening with the skill of being constructive and decisive. We would also like you to have:
10+ years of business experience with demonstrated advanced leadership/management skills
Excellent understanding of business and market dynamics
5+ years of Product Management or related experience in IT, Surveillance or similar industry
A comprehensive understanding of modern product management practices
Experience with both hardware and software based solutions
Combination of strong analytical skills, ability to think strategically, and deep customer empathy
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and in writing

THE NEW BUSINESS TEAM
New Business is an organization within AXIS with teams mainly in Lund, Sweden and Prague, Czech Republic. We are responsible for evaluating new business ideas and M&A opportunities from a technical and a commercial perspective. We develop a number of innovative product lines outside Axis network video, to offer our customers the best products, solutions and services on the market. The team has market oriented product and solutions resources, product development resources and a M&A team. The ambition is to leverage on Axis existing expertise and capacity which build on a flexible and open co-operation with other departments.
