We currently have the following job opening;
Director Product Maintenance
This role is within the Business Area Powertrain Engineering and more specifically within the Operational Management unit. Powertrain Engineering is developing Powertrain technology for the brands within Geely Group. The Operational Management unit is responsible for managing the Powertrain Engineering Project Portfolio and budget. We also cover Product Maintenance, Operational Development including Processes & Tools, Project Management, Releases etc.
In this role you will work with Powertrain product maintenance starting with transmission. You control the products over time when it comes to balancing requirements on maintenance improvements. You will work with different stakeholders such as the brands in order to decide the best maintenance strategy. As this is a newly established role you will have the opportunity to form and contribute to the content and the way of working. You will report to the Vice President, Operational Management.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Decide/negotiate if/when/how product maintenance improvements are implemented.
- Balance product maintenance improvements based on product cost, implementation cost, quality and lead time.
- Report proposed changes to a Maintenance Steering Committee
- Be a Powertrain Engineering Interface with the group brands, After Sales, Quality and Geely Powertrain.
- Secure the right competence and resources for Product Ownership
- Define and anchor high level maintenance working process including governance.
Profile and Background
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience from leader ship positions in the automotive industry or other technology industry.
- Experience from reporting and anchoring decisions with steering committees.
- Ability to structure, summarize and present cases in an informative and correct way.
- Experience from working in an international environment.
- Ability to cooperate and navigate in a complex organization.
- Leadership skills are required to be able to balance maintenance strategies.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
