Join us as Director, Patient Insights & Solutions to have a direct impact on how we use internal and external insights to drive innovative patient and site experiences.



What you'll do

In this role, you'll have the opportunity and responsibility to drive strategic development, execution and ongoing evaluation of how patient and site insight can be included into R&D problem solving and decision-making.

You will be aligned to Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolism (CVRM) and Respiratory & Immunology (R&I) - our two main Therapy Areas (TAs) in BioPharma R&D. Here, you'll drive adoption of patient- and site-centric practices by understanding the needs of internal partners while educating on the importance and potential impact of the patient and site perspective.

We see you as our key subject matter expert for patient and site insight to ensure understanding and application of value propositions across the organization. Collaboration is key, and you will work with both internal and external partners to understand both needs and insights, to support prioritization and shaping future strategies.

We'll rely on you to:

Ensure a consistent framework is applied to engage with clinical project teams early in product development to improve opportunity for patient and site insights to optimize program and protocol design
*

Optimize adoption of patient and site centric tools and services, to impact patient and site experience, and realize business benefit
*

Centralize patient and site centric toolkits, resources, and insight information to ensure reuse and consistency
*

Understand vendor capabilities and identify emerging patient and site centric trends to ensure that AstraZeneca stays as a recognized leader externally



Essential for the role

You hold a Bachelor's degree in science with >5 years experience of leading clinical trial projects or programs within CVRM or R&I.

Furthermore, your interpersonal skills are outstanding and you have successfully been driving fruitful and efficient collaborations with internal and external partners in a global context. It is important that you are passionate about patients and study sites, and demonstrate a strong desire to drive Patient and Site Engagement.

You also have:

Understanding of patient and site burden in clinical trials
*

Track record of working on Protocol development, Inform Consent Form, Patient Facing Material and Schedule of assessment
*

Effective leadership skills with significant experience in pharmaceutical industry to lead multiple activities with ambitious timelines and shifting priorities
*

Shown experience working with partners, CROs and AROs



Desirable for the role

*

Self-directed, driven strategic problem solver with global development operations expertise
*

Shown experience in data analysis and data interpretation to advise decision making
*

Ability to operationalize concepts and strong analytical skills to evaluate outputs
