Frauenthal Gnotec Group had a turnover of 170 MEUR in 2022 and employ roughly 800 persons. The Group has 4 production sites in Sweden, Slovakia, China and US where Sweden is the largest plant with a turnover of 100 MEUR and have 330 employees. Business in the US is about to ramp up in 2024.
The Group HQ, with 17 people, is located in Lindholmen, Gothenburg, but there are also small office sites in Halmstad and Gislaved.

The Job
As Director of Operations at Frauenthal Gnotec you will have a key position in an open and hands-on company with a great opportunity to create a role that will have a large impact in the success of improving the company's production sites. "One common structure in one company" is up for definition and implementation. HQ is small and familiar where we all act together with the company's best in mind, without prestige.
As Director of Operations you work closely with relevant internal stakeholders to develop, implement, and follow up execution of the production strategy. You will have the overall global production lead in Frauenthal Gnotec which means to develop and coordinate the global strategy, manage consistency, and formalize global practice. Your achievements will contribute to recommendations and to the execution of production targets. You have 4 general managers (one for each factory) in your team, report to CTO, and will be based in the Gothenburg headquarter. The position requires appr. 50-70 days of travel per year.
Key tasks and activities
The Director of Operations will take on a leadership role in executing tasks and projects in the following key areas:
Evaluate, update, manage and report on the comprehensive total production for group operations
Responsible for standardizing KPI's and processes
Secure lean and effective production development
Leading the team through management and mentorship
Preparing and optimizing budgets
Contribute to the development and implementation of global strategy as well as supporting key strategic initiatives and projects
Drive change related to operations
Actively work towards the Sustainability goals and increase the amount of recyclable material and reduce the environmental impact from the products
Participate in global cross functional work
Qualifications, Experience & Personality
For this position we believe you have a relevant university degree within engineering along with at least 10 years working experience in similar position in an international company, preferably in the automotive industry. We are looking for good knowledge in manufacturing production, quality work, LEAN, capacity, logistics. A most valuable experience would be from helping to scale a multi-divisional business to accommodate efficiency in production.
This position acts both nationally and internationally and requires fluent Swedish and English, verbal and written.
Among your personal characteristics we would like to find analytical skills, strategic capabilities while keeping attention to details. You have the experience and ability to influence senior leaders, using your communication skills. You are strategic, but also willing and able to get involved tactically and can operate hands-on. With your strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial mindset, in combination with inspirational leadership and project management skills, you will have a great opportunity to set and realize the roadmap of production for Frauenthal Gnotec.
