Over the last couple of years we have been prototyping new ways of creating transformative learnings experiences using digital tools as enablers. We see the Online Courses as our playground to learn and progress within most areas but especially within the space of creating learning experiences that are more accessible, personalized and prolonged with the use of technology.

We are looking for a growth and quality driven leader, who is passionate about education and technology, to lead Hyper Island's one year-old business area, Online Courses. This position will focus on managing and scaling the current offer.

We see that you enjoy building infrastructure and well functioning processes, and love leading flexible, freelance and remote teams. You are a natural role model, that enjoys building cultures that are brave, innovative and responsive.

Job description

In the beginning this position will lead the marketing, sales, delivery, quality assurance and reporting, whilst growing and leading a team consisting of full time employees and freelancers. Please note that the nature of this role will naturally change as the business area evolves.

Responsibilities & Tasks

• Leadership
• Lead planning and management of sales, delivery and continuous improvement for all Online Courses.
• Ensure that courses deliver on project plans, budgets and product promise.
• Report on profit and loss for the business area.
• Lead resource allocations for all related projects.
• Ensure high quality and insight-driven packaging and experience for all online courses.

• Sales
• Lead sales strategy and executions of all sales and marketing activities, including content marketing, media buying, marketing automation, 1:1 Customer Service.
• Assign creation of content marketing to coworkers, collaborators and partners.

• Delivery
• Lead staffing for all course deliveries.
• Support delivery team to create the best possible participant experience.

• Growth and Learning
• Lead strategic planning for short, medium and long-term business areas.
• Establish workflows and infrastructure to enable growth and scalability.
• Advise product incubation team on creation of new course content and formats.

Experience & Competence

• Entrepreneurial spirit with a relentless focus on scaling and commercializing.
• Strong interpersonal skills and resilience to lead others, as well as creativity and energy to grow.
• Ability to communicate a vision while willing and able to be hands on with sales, marketing and admin.
• Personal drive, bravery and a can-do' attitude.
• Comfortable with P&L responsibility.
• Fluent in English.
• Experienced in business development, marketing, sales and commercial revenue generation.
• Proven track record of establishing and scaling new products and services preferably within technology and learning or related fields.
• Natural leader with a strong ability to inspire and empower others and building effective teams.
• Demonstrated strategic acumen with the ability to quickly change course when learnings accrue.
• Demonstrated skills building infrastructure and well functioning processes.
• Ability to learn and adapt at speed on how to market, sell and collaborate.
