The role
The purpose of this position is to embed ESG (environmental, social, governance) as well as sustainability considerations into our way of doing business. In strong collaboration with our executive leadership team, the board and various senior leaders within the company, this position will drive the ESG & sustainability strategy and its implementation. Consult the leadership team in decision making and bring our sustainability efforts to the next level. The position holder will be responsible for Etraveli Group's compliance with relevant local laws and EU regulations, in particular with the 'CSRD' and any related reporting requirements.

Responsibilities
Lead the ESG community and drive our sustainability process and responsibility to the next level
Work closely with the executive leadership team, our board, external advisors and a broad range of internal stakeholders to influence decision making and establish an ESG & sustainability strategy across all areas of our business
Identify gaps in our current operations and develop processes and procedures to embed ESG and sustainability considerations into our 'ways of doing business'
Conduct impact assessments and threat analysis, prevention and recovery strategies
Develop, implement and maintain policies, standards and guidelines and oversee policy approval, dissemination and training in close collaboration with Etraveli Group's Compliance Officer
Ensure adherence to local laws and EU regulations (CSRD, EU Taxonomy in particular) in the way we operate and track and report KPIs
Closely monitoring our work environment standards, environmental protection and occupational safety (ES), site security, fire prevention, crisis management as well as Business Continuity Planning.
Drive initiatives and projects that promote ESG and sustainability
Interact with external stakeholders, including government and non-governmental institutions and grass roots organisations

Requirements
A degree in Business Administration, Engineering or comparable
At least 8 years of professional experience in areas related to ESG, CSR or sustainability, with focus on environmental and labor relations topics
Profound leadership skills in a multi-discipline environment.
Experience in developing sustainability/ESG strategy including sustainability reporting , preferably in a similar industry.
Experience in managing projects related to business continuity and/or sustainability.
The ability to understand and structure complex situations with multiple parallel initiatives.
A proactive and people-oriented mindset with convincing communication and facilitation skills to align between various internal and external stakeholders.
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment globally
Excellent English
Excellent Project Management skills
Used to working independently and able to juggle strategic and operational responsibilities
Impact and influence with senior stakeholders
Culturally sensitive, inclusive collaborator and able to be effective in a multicultural environment
Capacity to understand different legal requirements and stay current, good judgment and capability to ask the right questions
Strong analytical skills
Experienced in negotiating with and managing external vendors, consultants, stakeholders
Clear sense of priorities
