Director Engineering & Maintenance

Volvo Group Trucks Operations Umeå, manufactures truck cabins for the market in Europe. The plant has a capacity of 75,000 cabins and is the largest manufacturing industry in North of Sweden with an approximately employees of 1500.

We are looking for a Director who wants to manage the industrial development of the largest manufacturing industry in north of Sweden. As a Director, you are part of the plant Management team, where together with the other Management team members; you will have overall responsibility for the company's development.

You will be part of both a European and a worldwide network of colleagues, where you should contribute both to the company's projects and to use them in a value-creating way for the plant in Umeå.

Who are you?
To fit the role as Director we believe that you have a solid and successful experience from leadership in lean manufacturing. You have the skills to transfer high-level Volvo Group Business challenges into targets and deliverables. You are able to transfer knowledge as well as customer demands in a positive atmosphere. You are able to facilitate communication in an international and cross-functional environment. You always strive to develop further in your role and have a genuine desire to build positive relations.

Qualifications
You have University/Master Degree or equivalent
You have proven leadership experience
You have successful and extensive experience from implementing lean methods in manufacturing
Change management experience and demonstrated ability to set demanding targets to motivate teams and individuals to deliver outside their comfort zones, whilst further developing an excellent working climate and atmosphere in alignment with the Volvo Values and the Code of Conduct
You have a lot of energy and drive to develop and influence people around you to always do their best, be innovative and accountable to deliver
You possess the necessary skills in coaching and facilitation as well as having a good understanding of interpersonal relations and organizational development
You are a strong communicator and able to create trustful relations in spite of cultural differences and geographical distance
You have the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization (from shop-floor to top management)
You have a good understanding of the Volvo Group Business and the challenges in an international environment
In a group that values safety, quality, environment, diversity and respect for the individual, you hold a strong personal credibility, integrity and creativity
Fluent in English, other languages are beneficial
